  • What is the rental fee for Smokey Hollow and what does it include?

    String Lights on the front porch and over side patio
    6 Chandeliers
    (use 120-inch square or 132 round table cloths)
    Up to 10 adjustable cocktail tables
    4 whiskey barrels (wood tops available)
    Antique stain glass on wall
    8 black porch rockers

  • What is the building capacity?

    286 seated guests including the bridal party

  • Is there a deposit? When are the additional payments due? Do you offer a payment plan?

    Yes. When the contract is signed, to continue holding the date, we require a 50% deposit. 30 days prior to the event the remaining 50% of the remaining fee will be due. You are welcome to send smaller, partial payments of any amount prior to the specified due date, so in effect creating your own payment plan on your own schedule. Full payment is due by the specified due date. We also reserve the right to request a credit card on file for any damages to the facility or grounds.

  • How do I reserve a date?

    To reserve a date by email info@smokeyhollowde.com saying you are ready to book your perfected date and include a backup date in case your preferred date is unavailable.

  • Do I need to schedule a tour or can I just stop by?

    We kindly request that all tours are by appointment only. You can request a tour here.

  • Do we have to utilize your caterers and bar service?

    We will provide you with a list of licensed caterers that we recommend. How ever you are welcome to bring your own. They must be licensed and insured with proof of insurance and a day of liability naming Venue LLC., Smokey Hollow and Barefoot Beach Bride.

  • Will there be another wedding the same day?

    At Smokey Hollow we only host one wedding each day to ensure that each couple’s event is special and receives our full attention.

  • Are there overnight accommodations nearby?

    Yes. The Bethany Suites, Bethany Holiday Inn Express and many Hotels in Ocean City MD is less than 15 miles away and offers bulk room rates. The hotel is utilized for large events, so we encourage you to set up your room block soon.

  • How many cars will your parking lot accommodate?

    200 cars.

  • Do you provide table linens, cups, silverware, etc?

    Yes. Smokey Hollow provides an awesome venue, 60′ square folding tables, chavaeri chairs, and lots of decor for the allotted amount of time. Linens can be rented through us, but are NOT included in the rental fee. You are also welcome to bring your own linens. For details regarding our linen package please click here.

  • What happens in case of rain?

    The ceremony/cocktail hour will be moved inside. A floor plan will be pre-designed in the case of inclement weather.

  • We plan to have our ceremony offsite, or only plan to have our ceremony at Smokey Hollow. Does your fee change?

    Because we only host one event per day, our fee structure remains the same whether you hold your ceremony, reception, or both onsite.

  • Do you allow dogs onsite to play a part in our wedding day?

    We are dog friendly, with some specific stipulations. Dogs are allowed (only with pre-approval by Mark and Karen) at the ceremony and pictures. Animals, other than service animals, are NOT allowed under roof or near food. Dogs must be on a leash and someone must be responsible for them other than the bride and groom.

  • What form of payment does Smokey Hollow accept?

    Our preferred form of payment is all major credit cards with a 3% handling fee, check or money order.

  • Where can I find pictures of the decor available?

    We have it all photographed and numbered on our gallery page.

  • What time will I have access to the venue to decorate?

    You will have access to the venue at the time listed on your contract, not earlier. Please plan accordingly!

  • Do you include a “wedding day coordinator?”

    No. We do have a list of Highly recommended wedding coordinators that work with Smokey Hollow. We welcome all coordinators to Smokey Hollow, should you have one that is not on the list.

  • What are our catering options at Smokey Hollow?

    Must be licensed and insured caterers. Smokey Hollow will provide you with a list of recommended caterers once you have booked your event.

  • Can we provide our own Alcohol?

    NO, you may not provide your own alcohol. Delaware law states no one is allowed to bring alcohol into the venue. Alcohol must be provided and served by a license cater with an off prism alcohol license. They must provide us with a copy of licensed and proof of insurance and a day of liability naming Venue LLC., Smokey Hollow. NO EXCEPTIONS.
